Being an active person all my life, I realised I needed a more holistic approach to my fitness as I approached my 50s. My priority is being injury free while still achieving a very high level of fitness and agility. This is where joining Rebel has been a perfect fit for me. It has all the components of a well-rounded fitness programme: Agility, high intensity interval training (HIIT), strength and conditioning. Rebel gym, in keeping with its name and philosophy, goes beyond just cardio with plyometrics for the often forgotten fast-twitch muscles. No two session, in all my time with Rebel gym since 2012 when it was in Jurong (and I go 3x per week), has been the same. Some days the focus can be on kettlebells and on others, club-bells. Yet, one of the best things about joining Rebel is meeting like-minded people who are as focused about fitness as the gym owner/coach Melvin.
